Infinite Equilibrium

Leeds Met MA Architecture student Jak Drinnan has recently been working on a student project re-imagining Beam’s base, The Orangery in Wakefield - read more about his ideas here….

Infinite Equilibrium is a project about natural forces and their hand in the creation of form and structure. Exploring and experimenting with infinitely space filling polyhedra, this project repeats a singular complex element in order to form an infinite variety of possible structures and objects. Located within the gardens of the Orangery in Wakefield, these forms provide the backdrop and identity to the existing events space; a back drop that can be arranged and rearranged as and when necessary, where individuals and the community can infinitely design and redesign the space for their events.
