We’re excited to be promoting two new opportunities closely linked to our work at Markham Vale in Derbyshire.

 

 

Beam has recently been  working with Derbyshire County Council and a community working group to secure a Heritage Lottery grant to support ‘The Story Mine’ project.  Research into the lives of the thousands of men who worked at Markham Colliery between 1882 and 1993 will be carried out as part of the project and shared through a new website and series of events, supported by lottery players contributions.

The two roles are –

Heritage Community Engagement Worker – We are seeking an experienced heritage community engagement professional to take on a vital coordinating role. Download full role description and timeline here.

Graphics and Web Lead – we are seeking a creative organisation/ individual to deliver a heritage and community focused website ‘The Story Mine’ and produce a commemorative e-publication. Download full role description and timeline here.

The deadline for applications for both roles is Monday 11 December 2017, 9am.

Interviews will be held on Monday 18 December 2017 at the Markham Vale Environment Centre, Markham Lane, Chesterfield, S44 5HY.
