Join The Academy of Urbanism and Beam to explore some of Wakefield’s key interventions and new developments, culminating in a reception and tour of The Orangery. Hosted by Beam, this detailed walking tour is a chance to understand some innovative approaches to placemaking at first hand.
The purpose of this event is to draw together a group of interesting people from a broad spectrum to share some valuable learning and interesting thoughts.
The tour includes the impact from the inspiring new Hepworth Gallery, the recent Trinity Walk and Market Hall retail developments and new public realm of The Bull Ring. Academy Director George Ferguson will address the reception at the beautifully refurbished Orangery, Wakefield’s new creative events space.
This event is free to attend, however places are limited. To register, e-mail Stephen Gallagher or phone +44 (0)20 7251 8777.
Preceding the Academy event, Beam will be holding the first in a series of professional development events exploring the latest thinking and activity in place-making - policy, community involvement, good design, the arts.
