Every other month, venues across Wakefield come alive with a variety of visual arts and crafts, live music, and performances. All are welcome, so slip on some comfy shoes and come and enjoy the art on offer whilst you explore our city! This month sees the Private View of our latest exhibition, ‘Clare White (1903-1997) – An exhibition of 20th Century Watercolours’. These bright and colourful watercolours painted by Clare White, a friend of Dame Barbara Hepworth will be exhibited at The Orangery, Wakefield from Monday 16th January to Wednesday 28th March 2012. Drop in on the 25th January between 5-9pm, join us for a glass of wine and be among the first to view this fantastic exhibition which is guaranteed to banish winter blues and transport you to sunnier places! The exhibition features original paintings and prints from Barbados, Switzerland, Italy, Sicily and England. All works are for sale.
