Founded in 1999, The Architectural Review (AR) Awards for emerging architecture has grown in to the most popular and prestigious awards programme for young architects in the world.

The Awards recognise the design talent of those in the early stages of their career, with the intention of helping them to develop their reputation and awareness of their work. The entries cover a broad spectrum of designs, that include buildings, landscape, urbanism, furniture and product design.

This year there were over 400 entries from around the world. The winners reflect the global importance of the award:

  • Li Xiaodong Atelier with Bridge School, Xiashi, China,

  • ODOS Architects with Knocktopher Friary, Knocktopher, Ireland,

  • Jose Maria Sanchez Garcia with Sport Research Centre, Guijo De Granadilla, Spain,

  • Matharoo Associates with Curtain Door, Surat, India.

This exhibition showcases the designs of actual built or manufactured work by the young designers. It is a taste of what the future may hold in architectural and product design.
