Last month saw the much anticipated installation of a new artwork at The Hoyland Centre, Barnsley. The ‘window doodle’ by Yorkshire based artist Fabric Lenny is the culmination of a creative engagement programme which has seen the artist working with local schools and community groups to inspire the final line drawing design for the windows. Designs have also been created and are being installed for the interior of the library space to include book case end panels and book bins.

This commission is part of the Barnsley LIFT art programme, an integrated process of creative engagement activities and permanent artworks for 4 new health sites across Barnsley managed by Beam and working with partners Barnsley Community Solutions, NHS Barnsley, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council and Morgan Sindall.
