Beam Internship programme - Call for Applications
Beam are looking for interns and have a range of exciting opportunities on offer in the areas of arts, marketing and events.
The Beam intern programme is an opportunity for recent graduates, those seeking a career change and those who wish to embark on a career in the arts, marketing or events management to have first-hand experience of working within a cultural sector organisation.
Beam are currently offering two types of Internship:
Arts Management – assisting the core team with project management, fundraising, creative project development, research, event delivery and general administrative duties associated with Beam and its work.
Arts Marketing & Events Management – to assist with the day-to-day running and marketing of The Orangery conferencing venue. To plan, market and deliver specific cultural events to take place at The Orangery. To support marketing activity of both Beam and The Orangery.
As an Intern you will be asked to take responsibility for specific projects relating to your areas of interest and particular skills. You will also be expected to work as part of our small team of staff and associates as well as independently. In addition we really appreciate interns who are highly motivated and who have a keen eye for detail.
An important aspect of the intern programme is developing networks and new contacts and our staff are happy to provide advice on future career directions and options and help interns to gain further opportunities within the sector.
The placements are for a minimum of two days a week for 10 weeks ideally commencing Monday 10th October. A daily allowance of £10 will be paid to interns by way of expenses.
The deadline for applications is: Monday 26th September midday. A shortlist of applicants will be invited for interview w/c 3rd October.
