Community Engagement as part of Barnsley LIFT Art Programme
Window Arc and Other Doodles by Fabric Lenny
This year artist and image-maker Fabric Lenny was commissioned by Barnsley Community Solutions to enhance and animate the environment in and around the library of the new Hoyland LIFT Centre near Barnsley.
The project built on ideas and images developed during creative engagement activities with local schools and community groups and culminated in the production of a finished design for the windows of the library area.
The children working with artist fabric Lenny have given the project a life, interacting with artists from around the world with enthusiasm, that gives the finished artwork a vibrancy way beyond our hopes.
David Witney, Barnsley Community Solutions
The project was part of a wider art programme managed by Beam, in partnership with Barnsley Community Solutions, Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council, NHS Barnsley and Morgan Sindall.
