Opportunities have arisen for Artists or Artist Collectives to create large-scale mural / 2D artworks to enhance three key pedestrian routes to Castleford Railway Station. The selected artists will work in collaboration with Beam and wider teams to develop a curated vision for the series of new artworks.
Opportunities: 3 x commission opportunities, running in parallel, at a range of scales at key pedestrian gateways to Castleford
Budget: All inclusive fees range from: £28,500 – £42,800 + VAT if applicable. The fee range is aligned to the complexity/ scale of the site.
Timeframe: July 2024 – April 2025

Beam has been commissioned by Wakefield Council’s Regeneration Team to manage 3x artists to develop artwork at prominent locations in Castleford. The Council will be the budget holders for this programme and internal Council approvals of the designs will need to be considered. Network Rail is the funding body and approvals through their internal processes will also need to be included.
