We’re really pleased to have been accepted onto the Creative England Advance mentoring programme to support organisational development work for Beam around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

Our mentor will be Inc Arts, a not for profit limited company whose mission is to diversify the workforce of the creative and cultural sector.

Working across advocacy, talent development and business development, their business focus is on the ‘teams behind the scenes’: those who work in roles off-stage, supporting the creative talent. Inc Arts work across performing arts (music, dance, theatre), visual arts and heritage (museums and archives).

We’ll be kicking off our mentoring sessions later in March and will be sharing news about the work as it unfolds via blog posts on our website. More about the Advance Programme here.

Advance is a support programme for creative and cultural practitioners, freelancers and SMEs based in Wakefield and the wider Yorkshire Humber region. Brought to you by Creative England, Advance is delivered in partnership with Wakefield Council and funded by The Department for Digital,
Culture, Media and Sport’s Cultural Development Fund grant, which is administered by Arts Council England.
