Come and have a go at spray paint art and sculpture at a free workshop in Goldthorpe.
Artists Dan Jones, Tom Jackson and Craig Evans will be passing on their expertise and encouraging everyone to try their hand at creating something memorable. This is an ideal half-term activity for all ages and a great chance to get creative.
Where: Goldthorpe Pentecostal Community Church, Market Street, Goldthorpe, S63 9HA.
When: 10am to 2pm.

Sculptor Dan Jones is hosting a free drop-in sculpture session.
At this fun, family friendly event, you’ll have a chance to tie, wrap, weave, strap, and balance objects to create large sculptures from recycled materials.
No booking is required for this activity – just turn up and join in!
Tom and Craig, also known as STATIC, are hosting fun spray paint art sessions. This session is free but places are limited and booking is required.
Book your spot here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/spray-paint-stencil…
We’ll be asking people coming to the workshops for their views to help inspire the artworks being designed for Goldthorpe and the Dearne.
Dan is working with emerging Barnsley artist Ailish Treanor on the roundabout project, while Craig and Tom will be bringing new art to the Horse and Groom Square.
Both projects are being funded by the UK Government’s Towns Fund.
The new artworks will celebrate Goldthorpe and the Dearne’s history and hopes for the future and aim to inspire pride within our community.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get creative – and help shape the future of our community spaces!
