Beam is delighted to have been appointed to work with the Wentworth & Elsecar Great Place team to develop a strategy for embedding public art across the key sites of Wentworth Woodhouse, Elsecar Heritage Centre and Wentworth Castle Gardens.
The strategy will be activated with 3 temporary arts commissions across the sites in 2020, to be delivered in close collaboration with communities and stakeholders.
Great Place Wentworth & Elsecar is a project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England and supported by Historic England. Their work focuses on the rich heritage, culture and community engagement opportunities within these truly great places.
WE Great Place is led by Barnsley Council in close partnership with Rotherham Council and Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust.
