An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced artist to develop a detailed design proposal for a permanent public artwork/s that engages visitors in exploring the new Town Park in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
Budget: £8,000 + VAT if applicable
Timeframe: October 2022 – June 2023

The selected artist will work closely with the landscape architects and engage with the community to develop proposals for artistic interventions that encourage movement and exploration around the Town Park.
Design proposals should be for permanent, physical site specific artworks that connect with the town. Please note that this commission is for detailed design and community engagement and does not include fabrication and installation.
The artist will also act as a mentor, engaging an emerging artist to increase their understanding and experience of the design development process for art in the public realm and community engagement.
