We’re excited to be promoting two new opportunities closely linked to our work at Markham Vale in Derbyshire.
Beam has recently been working with Derbyshire County Council and a community working group to secure a Heritage Lottery grant to support ‘The Story Mine’ project. Research into the lives of the thousands of men who worked at Markham Colliery between 1882 and 1993 will be carried out as part of the project and shared through a new website and series of events, supported by lottery players contributions.
